Tomato Dip – just like from a Delicatessen
This recipe has been optimized for the Thermomix® TM31
A cosy evening with friends at a party, as a spread for supper or as a snack for in between while watching TV: A dip has many uses. Here I have prepared an alternative to herb butter and co. for you.
For the first time I served the tomato dip with baguette at a sales party and everyone was thrilled. My family also liked this tomato dip so much that everyone wanted more. That’s why I didn’t want to withhold this delicacy from you. I hope you like it as much as the test eaters did.
How do I prepare tomato dip with the Thermomix?
You start by peeling the 2 garlic cloves and put them into the mixing bowl. Add 150g of dried tomatoes and chop them for 5 seconds on speed 6. Then push the chopped dried tomatoes, which stick to the inner wall of the mixing bowl, down with the spatula.
Now you can add 200g cream cheese, 100g sheep’s cheese, 1 teaspoon vegetable stock powder, 1 teaspoon paprika and 1 teaspoon mild paprika to the Thermomix. Finally, mix all ingredients for 20 seconds on speed 4 and then decant.
Ideally, you should refrigerate the tomato dip for at least 1 hour before serving it in a dip bowl, for example.
